Gazetted Localities with Postcodes, Australia 2016
Description
Gazetted Localities with Postcodes is derived from a collection of open source data, such as recently released PSMA Suburbs - Localities February 2016 data and listings of postcodes by locality from Geonames.org. All input data has been cleaned and topologically corrected as much as possible so boundaries are suitable for further spatial transformation and reprocessing. Unfortunately, poor match of the original data between adjacent polygons on State boundaries could not be fully rectified. PLEASE NOTE: This dataset is not compatible with the Australian Bureau of Statistics demographic information from the 2011 Census of Population and Housing. Use State Suburbs, Australia 2011 boundaries instead [https://mapdeck.com/data/metadata/australia-state-suburbs]. For use with MapDeck apps only.
